Place one or two pieces on top and let the scent fill the room. Close the doors and windows while burning so the scent stays in, and keep the mabkhara away from the fan for a fuller scent and a slower burn.

Burning bakhoor produces very high heat and there is a fire risk if it is misused. Always use a mabkhara or a heat-resistant dish — gloves or tongs are recommended. Always keep children and pets away, and never leave it burning unattended.
